Welcome back everyone! Thanks again for joining us. To those of you who are new to our weekly challenge please go here to learn all the details about how this works first. The next five weeks of themes/prompts are at the bottom of my blog. Also, everyone please do us a favor and read this post before entering any photo challenge…thanks!
This week’s theme/prompt is spring – which was not the easiest I’m sure for most of us with how cold it has been. I was forced to think outside of the box.
I know it is only March, however, bear with me for a second – April showers bring May flowers. Spring around here is filled with many rainy days and yesterday was no exception. FYI – spring is only 13 days away now. So, I decided to make the most of a rainy day and have the children put on their rain boots and jackets for a photo outside

Poor Noah was very distraught by this point – he had to go potty {pee pee} really bad and having rain falling on him wasn’t helping matters. As you can see Naomi wasn’t too concerned at all.

Naomi and Joshua decided it would be a good idea to tell him everything would be OK, “just smile for Mommy and you can go inside.” Please don’t be upset with me – he has to go potty all of the time and we are trying to help him hold it longer than 10 minutes or we are never making it to VA when we move next month. I only had him wait 2-3 minutes before we all went inside.

“See Noah, you will be OK!”

As you can see he is really done in this shot, so we ran inside to help the poor guy out! He was all ready to go right back outside in the rain again – too bad I was done getting wet. Unlike them I don’t have a cute rain jacket and boots!

I have yet to use my flash outside to boost daytime shots – however, I will be trying the tips in this video once the weather finally cooperates.
I have learned a lot watching this series of tutorials – his photography is amazing!
You have until Wednesday each week to link your SOOC shot up here. On Thursday we link up with Ashley after we follow her tips on how to edit our shots.
For those of you like me who like to stay ahead – Week 10 March 14: Yellow. Remember you can see the next five themes/prompts at the bottom of my blog. Or I would be happy to email you our 2011
calendar of photo prompts/themes in a PDF file. Email me and I’ll send it to you
Now it’s your turn to show us what spring looks like around your area:

They are so cute! Cheerful smiles to brighten up one's day.
Cute photos.
The partial photos in my reader, so I had to stop by to see the big ones - too cute :)
I had a photo-session yesterday,so I don't have a spring one yet. Maybe I can get a couple of quick ones in before Wednesday.
Have a blessed week.
Oh, Jill! I'm a total sucker for rain boots. These shots are SO adorable! Love them already, but can't wait to see you work your magic. :)
Your photos are precious, Jill!
Beautiful shots!!! So sweet!!!
I love their bright jackets and boots, all lined up in a row like that! It's just adorable; I'm sure the edits are going to be spectacular!
These shots are so cute...love it!
These are AMAZING SOOC shots. SO vibrant!
The rain jacket idea is brilliant! That first shot would make for such a cute canvas to put in your mud room or something. Absolutely adorable!
I love the kids lined up in their rain gear. That's great and great shots and angles!
With all the rain we had yesterday I was thinking the same thing - what would spring be without the rain?
I particularly love the 3rd image... rainboots all in a row. So adorable! :D
So cute! Love all the variety in their raingear. :)
Oh my, that is soooo cute and so creative! Love it!
Yup, pretty much totally loving these shots, LOVE raincoats and boots...they are so cute!!!
What a colourful bunch of kids you have Jill all lined up like that. Just aswell a little puddle didn't appear..... Noah did great holding on but his wee face tells quite a story.
I've watched the 2nd video so far - I painted with light at Christmas time shining a torch on my Christmas tree in an s shape motion though I never published any of the photos on my blog.
I did not realize you had so many children. What fun shots to say spring.
These are fabulous, Jill! Wonderful idea! And I am completely impressed that you got all of them to stay still long enough for you to photograph them. :)
LOVE those raincoats! The colors are wonderful!
Wonderful photos and the multicolor rain boots are a great capture.
I LOVE the 3rd 'boots' shot...your SOOC are just awesome - all of them...I'm not sure how you can improve on them!! :)
This whole series is adorable -- but I'm partial to the ones of the boots, the one right after that where you only see Naomi's face, and the 2nd to last one... maybe because it's just a different perspective than what I'm used to seeing... but whatever it is, I love it!!
Naomi cracks me up! And Noah's poor face... awe!
xoxoxo
These are perfect, Lady!!
hugs and love!
Love the pictures today. They are simply perfect and full of life and spring.
such great pictures!!!
This might be some of my favorite shots of your beautiful children ever.... I love how you caught them totally in the moment and the COLOR.... JUST ADORE the pops of bright color! BEAUTIFUL in every way!
Happy Tuesday~
xoxo,
Lisa
These photos are great and so much fun. I love all the colors and boots.
I am back, finally got a couple of Spring photographs in. One is a little creative, but it still fits the theme of Spring (aka renewal)...
Thank you again for hosting this challenge on a weekly basis; helps me to get better at photography without much editing.
