Welcome back everyone! Thanks again for joining us. To those of you who are new to our weekly challenge please go here to learn all the details about how this works first. The next five weeks of themes/prompts are at the bottom of my blog. Also, everyone please do us a favor and read this post before entering any photo challenge…thanks!
This week’s prompt/theme is flowers – hmmmm what to do when there are no flowers to be found outside yet, and you did not have time to run to the store to buy any??? Ahhh, RIGHT! Pack up your five daughters and head to Longwood Gardens for the day before you need to have them ready. Perfect!
I have to admit I went a little crazy with my macro lens inside the orchid area and couldn’t resist capturing the following gorgeous flowers as well. I also took some shots of the girls for the I AM BEAUTIFUL Project.
I am so excited to hear that many of you are going to join us…YEAH! God is doing some amazing things already through this project and I’m beyond blessed watching Him change hearts like no one else can!
Not sure how much editing I will do on these – I’m very pleased with the SOOC shots.
If you would like to enter your I AM BEAUTIFUL photos into our group –
simply click on one of the girls photos below!

You all ROCK flower shots – so I can’t wait to see your photos this week! I love that spring is finally here!

Beautiful photos Jill. I'm going to love seeing all the floral shots. Feels like spring!
Gorgeous, Jill...I don't see how you can improve your SOOCs; they're fabulous already!
Love the flower shots but love the "beautiful" shots even more!
oooh, these are beautiful!, the flowers & the girls! We're going to Longwood on a field trip with our coop next month, and your shots are making me very excited and inspired!
These are beautiful! Love them, and I'm excited to take some "I am beautiful" shots later today! :) What a great project~!
Beautiful photos! How fortunate to have a nice garden like that nearby to visit. :) And loving the "I am beautiful" shots!
These are all so pretty! Glad to finally link up for this challenge :)
They really all beautiful, Jill. And I know you'll make them even more so... you have the eye!
I don't know if I'm going to participate this week. We've had several inches of snow, 2 solid more days of snow predicted and snow off and on for the next 2 weeks. This long winter is aggravating my fibro, and needless to say (without complaining too much) I'm in constant unrelenting excruciating pain. Was that overstating it?
Anyways, pray for me? I really need it to get through the next 2 weeks!
LOL, we went to Longwood in February :) I wish I lived closer by though..I'd love to go more often, such a beautiful place!!!
That blue flower is beautiful, so are the rest, but my eyes caught that one. You're edits will be beautiful, can't wait to see them!
So beautiful Jill...So jealous you live near Longwood. I hear it is so beautiful...Lucky you!
Wow those photos are gorgeous! I don't know how you will improve on them (but I'm sure you will figure out how to make them even more spectacular!)
these are fab already.
and am joining in the beautiful project, just need to get ready for it.
Jill- These SOOC shots are fantastic- I am absolutely looking forward to Thursday when I can see the final edits!
I really love this I am Beautiful project. It is something I think we all struggle with but it is so important to have it stop with us & not pass it along to our daughters. Thank you!!!
Great SOOC's. Gorgeous job!
Wow!! They are stunning already. :)
These are lovely as they are Jill but I would maybe draw the blue out of the Meconopsis alittle more. I love the orange of their stamens next to the blue petals.
Those cymbidium orchids look amazing placed together like that. I love the different textures of their leaves against the other filgree foliage beside them - such a lovely contrast.
Lastly before I use up all your comment space - that bokeh on the bottlebrushes is just fab.
Got my cardboard today :)

Gorgeous shots.
Those are just beautiful flowers you captured!
What gorgeous photos you took! I am going to play along for the first time, how fun!
Gorgeous shots! I love the first one, the blue is absolutely beautiful!
Such beautiful flowers - I can't wait to get out to Duke Gardens when everything is in full bloom!
Those are truly beautiful shots. I never realized how fun taking pictures of flowers could be until this challenge. Thank you! (My kids are not such cooperative models!)
Gorgeous, gorgeous photos again Jill!
I was noticing crocus sprouting up in people's flower beds today while Alex and I were on our way home from preschool. He wanted to stop and take pictures everywhere we saw them. I might have a budding photographer on my hands. :)
Your shots this week are truly beautiful SOOCs; they are already WOWs!
I love your daughters' signs - this is such a wonderful idea!
Beautiful flowers, the baby blue ones are amazing. I can't wait to see your edits. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Gorgeous! I just love photographing flowers. They really are an amazing creation.
Beautiful Flowers : ) Well shot!
Your right - these shots are good as is!! Absolutely stunning. But, of course, I can't wait to see some edits, too.
You know what I love -- that you didn't have time to run to the store to buy flowers, but you had time to travel to a garden and hang out with your girls -- now that's my kind of priorities!! Love it!!
Love these shots -- simply beautiful. I'm in awe of God's creativity!! :) Love seeing Lilly enjoying them, too! :) I think the 2nd red spindly thingy one is my fav! hehe!
ADORE the I AM BEAUTIFUL shots!!! So so sweet! Naomi cracks me up!
